Among other achievements his work is represented at leading galleries in Amsterdam, New York, Venice, Cologne and Copenhagen. I think every design task or brief has a different set of rules and parameters, there are no two similar tasks. ILKKA SUPPANEN ON NEW NORDIC DESIGN I have huge respect for the Scandinavian design icons and I have learned a lot from them. Now it is a different time and situation. Since design is always down to time and situation, I will not follow them or make my designs similar. I live in a different time and my designs are different. One could say that a current design trend: minimalist and functional is originally Scandinavian.
