Growing up on the west coast of Norway, Lars Beller Fjetland has always been fascinated by nature’s materials. After studying Economics for three years, this fascination and the need to work with something more creative lead him to the Bergen National Academy of the Arts where he graduated from with a Bachelor’s degree in the summer of 2012. Lars Beller Fjetland describes himself as being a combination of both a curious and pragmatic designer. He allows the quality of the material to dictate both the function and aesthetics of the design, and he strives to create objects with a sense of both timelessness and longevity.
