Born in Venice in 1976, Luca studied at the Venice Institute of Architecture obtaining a degree in Industrial Design and in 1999 designed his first Murano glass products for Salviati. In the same year he established his partnership with Foscarini where he designed lighting and collaborated as a research consultant for new materials as well as product development (2001-2003). In 2006 he founded his own firm Mestre, Nichetto&Partners dealing with both industrial design and design consulting. He is the art director of Italesse. He has received many international awards, including the Elle Decoration International Young Designer of the Year 2009 Award.
