Marcel Wanders is a product and interior designer who grew up in Boxtel, Holland, and graduated at the Arnhem School of the Arts in 1988. In 1995 he opened his own firm, Wanders Wonders, and moved to Amsterdam in 2001. His recognition started with the Knotted chair, which he created in 1996 for Droog design and which was then included in the Cappellini collection. His work is ubiquitous; designing for leading international companies such as Flos, Alessi, Puma, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, MAC Cosmetics, Cappellini, B&B Italia, Moroso and Target.
