Mette Kargo Hvid graduated as a textile designer from Kolding School of Design, Denmark. “My initial inspiration often starts with a story, an object, an expression, an action, or a detail – things that spark my spontaneity, passion and curiosity. I never try to think rationally; preferring to create a process founded on intuition, experimentation and personal development. For me, outlining the design involves a multiplicity of visual registration, notes, quotes and objects – things that help me define the framework for my concept. My idea begins to take shape when I start working with the actual material – because this is where I always encounter the unexpected things that can be of significance in further developing the idea. My vision is always to ask questions and challenge my professional competencies."
