Omar Ronda

In 1967 he knows Gian Enzo Sperone and Lucio Amelio and with them organizes a series of major exhibitions Michelangelo Pistoletto , Jannis Kounellis , Giuseppe Penone , Piero Gilardi , Gilberto Zorio , Mario Merz , Alighiero Boetti , Giulio Paolini , Pier Paolo Calzolari and later Mimmo Paladino , Nicola De Maria , Sandro Chia . In 1973-74 he spent a year in New York where he met Leo Castelli and Ileana Sonnabend and through them Robert Rauschenberg , Andy Warhol , Jim Dine , Tom Wesselmann , Cy Twombly , Roy Lichtenstein , Robert Indiana , Claes Oldenburg , to the minimalist Sol LeWitt , Carl Andre , Bob Morris and others. In New York, later he met and associated with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring . He works closely with Giorgio Marconi in Milan and Lucrezia De Domizio Durini in Pescara with which organized conferences and exhibitions of Joseph Beuys . In 1990/91 achieves extreme installations on the summit of Mont Blanc and in the caves of Is Zuddas in Sardinia where he lives six days and six nights in a vegetable pyramid under the reactor Catalytic Cracking the refinery Saras Petroli Moratti. In 1993 he founded a group with other artists, and organized exhibitions and installations.
