Born in 1966, Sebastian Bergne spent his childhood as a nomad and got in touch with a variety of cultures. He studied industrial design at the Central St Martin School and subsequently at the Royal College of Art in London from which he is a graduate. In 1990, he opened his agency and went on to work with brands such Authentics, Tolix, ENO, Tefal, Muji, De Beers, Lexon, Habitat or Vitra. He refined his approach and defined his style to propose a wide variety of item types offering varied responses to current design challenges. Today Bergne continues to work across borders, partnering with international companies. He designs humble daily objects, focusing on details to produce innovation. He graduated from the Royal College of Art, where he is also a visiting professor, and has a design agency in London.
